Max Lagod Races EZeCom.com Corvette to Top-Ten Finish at Molson Indy Montreal

GILBERTS, IL. (Aug. 27, 2005) – Trans-Am driver Max Lagod continued his recent success by capping-off the 2005 Trans-Am season with a solid 6th place finish at Montreal this past weekend. “The team has been working really hard this season to get the chassis sorted out on our EZeCom.com / Hypermax Corvette. The suspension is unlike any other car in the field, so we have had to learn by trial and error. We have obviously discovered what it takes to be fast again,” said Lagod. Following a strong outing at Road America, Lagod qualified the #83 Corvette in 9th place, starting the race in the inside of the 5th row. Running consistent lap times, Lagod moved up to 6th place by Lap 15. “This race reminded me of the old Trans-Am days when you could count on fearless drivers causing bruised bumpers and dented fenders by mid-race,” said Lagod referring to the fact that five cars did not complete the race due to contact and mechanical failures. With the newfound reliability of his Corvette, Lagod pressed hard and earned his second top-ten finish in as many weeks. “That’s two races in a row where we have been able to run the car hard the entire race and have finished on the lead-lap. The whole team is excited as we look forward to the 2006 season,” said Crew Chief and former Trans-Am driver J.A Lagod.
